Who we are

GThink Ltd was established in 2017 with a clear-eyed view of where the real demand lay: not in the dense centre of London, but in the suburban ring that surrounds it. Greater London's outer boroughs - Barnet, Richmond, Kingston, Bromley, Enfield, Sutton and their neighbours - are home to thousands of larger semi-detached and detached family houses built between the wars and into the post-war decades. These are properties with wide south-facing roofs ideal for high-yield solar arrays, private driveways ready for EV charger infrastructure, and ageing electrical installations that have never been designed for the energy demands of a modern household. From that understanding, electricalworks was born: a technically led firm built specifically to serve the homeowners who live in these properties and who expect more than a van and a price list.

Our principle is precision over volume. We apply our be smart, not busy philosophy to every project - which means a detailed site survey before any quotation, designs that account for the roof geometry of a 1930s Barnet semi or the existing supply head on a Richmond detached, and paperwork that holds together under scrutiny from a mortgage lender, NICEIC auditor or UKPN network engineer. Every Electrical Installation Certificate, MCS commissioning dossier and DNO notification we produce carries the weight those third parties require, because we write them as if they will be inspected - because they will be.

Outer London's family homes are high-demand environments: multiple occupants, dual EV households, home offices running around the clock, and central heating systems now competing with heat pump upgrades for headroom in the consumer unit. We understand that landscape in practical terms - the maximum demand calculations behind a 22 kW two-car EV installation in Kingston, the structural and shading surveys behind a 6 kWp array in Bromley, the staging plans that let a family in Enfield stay in residence during a whole-house rewire. That combination of engineering depth and operational discipline is what separates us from general electrical contractors working across this geography.

Our mission

Greater London's suburban family homes contain more energy potential than most of their owners realise. A south-facing detached roof in Sutton can generate meaningful electricity for twenty five years. A private driveway in Barnet is the ideal platform for a compliant, smart-metered EV circuit. A 1960s semi in Enfield with original wiring is one upgrade away from hosting a battery that stores cheap off-peak energy for the household's peak hours. The barriers are not technical - they are a shortage of contractors who understand the full system, can certify every element correctly, and communicate clearly throughout.

That is the gap we exist to close. We are not fixing wires. We are transforming Greater London's residential neighbourhoods - street by street, borough by borough - into communities of smart, self-sustaining homes whose owners control their energy costs, reduce their dependence on the grid and build long-term value into their most important asset.
